Alberto Rivera

Obituary of Alberto Rivera

Alberto A Rivera, passed away on September 11, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife, 6 beloved children, and a collection of 30 grand- and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Marianna, Alberto left behind a legacy of life, love and relentless passion for family-first. Born and raised in the midst of the Great Depression, Alberto spent his youth traveling through Mexico and the southern States of America, finding odd jobs to support his family, to ultimately achieve the American Dream. By mastering the art of bricklaying, he was able to open his own masonry business, with products of his craftsmanship on display all throughout CA and AZ. He will be remembered for his ruthless work ethic, his signature whistle, and his uncanny ability to lecture about anything and everything for indefinite amounts of time, always with a lesson learned. To say he will be deeply missed can be considered one of the greatest understatements of our time. To say those he touched with his endless generosity are forever changed will be doing his memory an injustice. Alberto has left a void in many hearts; life will never be the same for the family and friends who loved him. We reluctantly say goodbye to our honey, dad, jefe, hermano, primo, grandpa y tio.
