Obituary of Joylene Freitag

Joylene Freitag December 18,1948 - January 12.2013 64 years old, of Tucson, passed away January 12, 2013, after a 5 year battle with cancer. Born in Joliet, IL December 18, 1948, she graduated in 1966 from Joliet Township High School. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Jeanette Freitag, nephew Craig, and sister-in-law Jacque Smith. She is survived by her brothers Roger Freitag (Linda), William Freitag (April), nephews Gary, William, Wade, Rodger and niece Heidi(Freitag)Ackerley. Joylene worked for Mountain Bell in Illinois and Ma Bell in Tucson until she retired to care for her ailing father until his death. Known to most as Joy, she had a passion for reading and loved perfumes. She will be remembered most for her positive and determined attitude. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Juanita Emmerson, a truly special friend, caring neighbors, the Duggan family and Cesar Quijada family, Dr. Joseph Bucema, and the wonderful staff at Arizona Oncology. We also want to thank the staff at Hacienda de Milagro and Peppi's House who kept her comfortable and well cared for until the end. They all truly made a difference in her life.
