Obituary of Julie Franklin - Sahajian

Julie Ann Franklin-Sahajian, 56, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away March 27th, 2013, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born March 18th, 1957, in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Berna Jean Franklin. Julie graduated from Elmhurst College and San Francisco State University, and was a Special Education and Kindergarten Teacher for over 30 years. A few words from her son: I'll always be thankful for making it to my mom's bedside to tell her that I loved her, to adamantly convince her that all of my life triumphs, successes, and accomplishments are because of what she instilled in me, and to tell her goodbye. She was my foundation, my home base, and an inspiration to so many of the "students" she taught, including my sister, my dad, and me. I'll never be able to thank you enough Mom, but I'll never stop trying to make you proud. A few words from her daughter: Last night, I held my mother's hand as she took her last breath. This battle has been tough, but she fought until the very end. Her perseverance will forever be an inspiration to us all, much as it was throughout her life. She passed gracefully, in peace and within the comfort of her loved ones. Her strength is my strength now, and I will carry this with me every day as I smile up at her in the sky. Forever watching over me, my brother, my father, and all of the hearts she has blessed: Rest in Peace, Momma Bear. I love you, always. Can't wait to see you again. Julie is survived by her husband, Claude B. Sahajian; son, Peter F. Sahajian; and daughter, Serena M. Sahajian. An open-casket viewing will be from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at AngelValley Funeral Home at 2545 North Tucson Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85733, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.
