Obituary of Helen Fonyi

Helen P. Fonyi Born February 12, 1922---Died March 12, 2013 at 91 years of age. Born in Wallington, New Jersey, Helen, also known as Lee, lived in New Jersey until she moved to Arizona in 1985 after the death of her husband John Fonyi, who pre-deceased her in 1984. In her heart, New Jersey was always her home, but she made a good life for herself in Tucson and lived life on her terms. She loved the freedom of driving her car and was very independent in mind and in spirit. Lee was a trophy level bowler, an avid bingo player, loved to knit and crochet, and really enjoyed game shows on television. She was retired from Hoffman/ La Roche, where she worked as a manufacturing supervisor for many years. She leaves behind her son Jack, her grandsons Richard and J.D., their families, and many friends and relatives. Interment at Ridgeland Park Cemetery by Shooks Funeral Home, Clifton, N.J., with graveside prayers by Saint Peter & Paul Polish National Church, Passaic, N.J. at Ridgeland Park Cemetery Click for Map and Directions
