Obituary of Donald Doell

Donald Frederick Doell, age 76, was born on June 29, 1936 at The Methodist Episcopal Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He was the eldest child of Frederick Harvey Doell, and Rosarie (Solimine) Doell. He was a resident of Tucson, Arizona. He was unmarried and without children. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, May 24th, 2013 at 10am in the chapel of Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 North Tucson Boulevard in Tucson. He is survived by two sisters Donna E. Doell and Diane (Doell) Franklin; a niece, Sheila (Van Hoff) Meitzner; and two nephews, Allen Van Hoff and Neil Van Hoff. Donald was known for his dedication and generosity to Education, the Fine Arts, A Time to Dance Studio, Literature, and the Conservation of Nature and the Environment. He was a high school teacher, college professor, author, artist, excellent friend and brother, U.S. Naval Officer, and Veteran. His love of beauty, animals, dance, nature and music were an inspiration to all and an encouragement to many. He was and is well-loved by all who were graced with his presence in their lives. He was cherished for his quick wit, thoroughness in every aspect of his life, caring concern and faithfulness. He will be greatly missed.
