Obituary of Ernest Henry Calhoun

Ernest Henry Calhoun was born February 1, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Henry Howard and the late Geraldine A. Kyle-Calhoun. Ernest was the second youngest of 7 children. Ernest, was better known as “Ernie” or “E”.  K-12 schooling was in Cincinnati, he then attended college at Ohio State where his love affair with the Buckeyes began. He served in the United States Army as well. Growing up, Ernie was very gifted in his studies; music, drawing, football and performing. His special talent was the love of all people, he never met a stranger. His kind spirit and infectious personality sums him up the best. He loved life, coaching football (70 Falcons!), the ocean, food, partying, the peacemakers, Circus Mexicus and his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his brother Anthony Calhoun, sister Anna Marie Jackson, and grandmother Lillian Marie.

Ernest leaves to mourn his death his children, Chancey, Zach, Sabel, Ryan and Caleb. His special relationship with his son Zach was the dearest to his heart. Many memories of quad riding and house remodeling with son. His brother, Lewis, his sisters Aldretha, Anna Bell (Ron), Lillian Tina (Randy), grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many dear friends.

The family would like to acknowledge Heather, his ex-wife. You were with our brother when he needed you the most. Thank you.
