Obituary of James Manuel Perez

James M.A. Perez

James was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. He was proud to be a United States Marine and loved his country wholeheartedly. James took pride in all he did both professional and in his personal life. James was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and cousin. James was a devoted father to his two babies, Melanie and James. His world revolved around them. Their happiness was his happiness.

James gave the biggest bear hugs and always let you know he loved you. His loud laugh and big smile were infectious and will be missed. James understood that behind every face was a story. He was not one to judge and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In the last few years James had a new found love for taking care of plants and bird watching/feeding. It was a great way for him to decompress. He did tend to overbuy bird food. James adopted his best friend Milo (cat) from a shelter. James was told due to Milo being attacked prior to arriving at the shelter he was badly injured and might need one of his legs amputated. James said he wanted that specific cat because it reminded him of himself since he had just had double knee replacement the previous year. James took Milo home and nursed him back to great health and Milo no longer needed his leg amputated. This is the kind of person James was: Loving, caring, nurturing and so much more.

His daily good morning texts are surely missed. James will be deeply missed by all, but never forgotten.

James fell in love with salmon fishing and loved the beach. He loved exploring the outdoors and trying new things. He was protective and a gentleman. Even to the point of opening the car doors even for his sister. He was always looking out for everyone. He was always aware of his surroundings and everyone's safety.

James was proud and strong. He was great at giving advice. He always wanted to help when someone was in need. If you told him a problem or issue, he would research solutions and outcomes for you. James would take on everyone's burden and never wanted to burden others with his. He was truly selfless.

James always encouraged a higher education. He was known as a prolific writer. His presence was always felt. His professional demeanor was something to be admired for. He strived for excellence in everything he did.

Each one of us have our own history and memories of James that we can continue to cherish. Those who met him were blessed to do so. James you are forever loved and missed.
